Born Pretty Store Flocking Powder

I received some flocking powder from Born Pretty Store in purple and sky blue. To get the flocking powder on my nails I applied nail polish and then stuck my nail in the flocking powder while it was still wet. I used a fan nail art brush to brush off the excess flocking powder and I did not apply a top coat.

I used Sweet Color - #005 as the base for the purple flocking powder.

I used Sweet Color - #009 as the base for the sky blue flocking powder.

I thought it was strange that they came in different containers.

I know some of you will be wondering if this is something you can actually wear for a few days. I wore this on my thumb for two days and it held up pretty well. Some of the flocking powder did fall off but only the ones that the polish didn't get a good grip on. There was still enough flocking powder to cover my nail. I wouldn't suggest wearing this while preparing food though in case some of them fall off into it, unless you like eating fuzzies.

  2. Cool :) I have some on the way, should be here really soon - I got purple and grey, but the blue is soooo pretty. Can I ask some questions, how wet should the nail polish be when you apply it? Do you do it finger at a time? or just apply to one hand, do that hand, then do the next hand etc? xox

    1. I waited about 30 seconds after applying my polish before dipping my nail in the flocking powder. I worked one nail at a time. :)

  3. These colours look much better than mine! I ordered the baby pink ages ago but haven't tried it yet because it's more of a dirty pink than a pretty baby pink. Good to know it will last a couple of days though :)

    1. I think the colours on their website are a bit off. The purple I ordered looks much darker.

  5. I've yet to buy "real" flocking powder. I tried making some of my own and it turned out okay, but was a bit stringier than the stuff at bornpretty. Anyway, your nails turned out lovely. Those are both very nice colors to wear.

    1. Thanks Samantha, what did you use to make your own flocking powder? :)
