Layla Stamping Test

I swatched three Layla Mirror Effect polishes about a week and a half ago and said I would do a stamping test with them. I stamped them over Essie - Dive Bar. I also had one of the Layla holos out so I thought I'd test that too. I used an image from Bundle Monster stamping plate BM-304 for the test. I think they stamped quite well except for Flash Black.

Index: Layla - Purple Diva
Middle: Layla - Titanium Sky
Ring: Layla - Metal Chrome
Pinky: Layla - Flash Black (holo)

BM-303 - Heart Stamp

I found this hanging out in my drafts. I still plan on going through all my Bundle Monster plates but I've lost my motivation. I'll try to get back into it after a break.
BM-303

The base is BYS - Adventures of Alice, the stamp is Ulta3 - Black Satin. I had trouble with this stamp. The left side of the heart is supposed to be completely filled in. Each time I scraped the polish off if would scrape polish out of that side of the heart. I tried scraping in different directions with different pressure and amounts of polish but the best I could get was the stamp on my pinky.

BM-303

The base is China Glaze - He's Going In Circles and I stamped using Ulta3 - Black Satin. I had a little trouble getting the feelers to stamp properly.

Artsy Wednesday: Inspired By Music

Don't forget to enter my Blogiversary Giveaway and Nail Art Competition! There's three Born Pretty Store gift vouchers to be won. Entries close 5th August 2012.
The theme for Artsy Wednesday this week is Inspired By Music!

Colours used:
Ulta3 - Lily White
Ulta3 - Black Satin
Ulta3 - Orchid

Stamping Plate used:
Bundle Monster BM-207

I used Lily White for the base and stamped the piano design from BM-207 using Black Satin. I thought the top looked too plain so I used a dotting tool and a striping brush with Orchid to add in some music notes.

BM-302

The base is O.P.I - Tickle MY France-y and the stamp is China Glaze - Poinsettia. Not one of my favourite manicures but I'm glad I tried it.

BM-301 Key Stamp

Don't forget to enter my Blogiversary Giveaway and Nail Art Competition! There's three Born Pretty Store gift vouchers to be won. Entries close 5th August 2012.
BM-301

The base is Essie - Lilacism and the stamp is Sally Hansen Insta-Dri - Silver Sweep. I stuffed up the angle of the keys after two fingers. This makes me think of princess themed wall paper. I'm not sure what keys have to do with princesses so it must be the colour combination.

BM-301 Vampire Bat Stamp

Don't forget to enter my Blogiversary Giveaway and Nail Art Competition! There's three Born Pretty Store gift vouchers to be won. Entries close 5th August 2012.
BM-301

The base is Wet n Wild - Hypnotic Red and the Stamp is Ulta3 - Black Satin. This stamp was much easier to pick up then the other stamps on this plate. Half of the images on my plate aren't etched deep enough.

BM-301 Gradient Stamp

BM-301

The base is BYS - Deep Purple, a purple to pink colour change polish. Because my nails are short I didn't get the nice gradient effect with this colour change polish. I decided to make the gradient myself using one of the stamps from BM-301. I stamped with Sally Hansen Insta-Dri - Pronto Purple. Because my plate isn't etched deep enough I had to stamp each nail a few times but I think the gradient effect looks better that way.

BM-302

BM-302

The base is China Glaze - Electric Beat and it's stamped with Sally Hansen Insta-Dri - Lightening. I bumped the edge of two of my nails but I couldn't be bothered to re-do them. I like this stamp, it's cute!

BM-301

BM-301

I started with a base of Sally Hansen Insta-Dri - Lightening and stamped with Ulta3 - Black Satin (PRC version). I had trouble with this stamp. I think there is a problem with my BM-301 plate. I don't think the plate was etched deep enough, I've tried them all and they are all patchy. I tried for at least half an hour to get all the bees for this mani.

BM-301

BM-301

I stamped Sally Hansen Insta-Dri - Silver Sweep over piCture pOlish - Aphrodisiac. To me this design looks like I put duct tape on my nails then ripped it quickly of leaving bits of silver everywhere. I did have a little bit of trouble when scraping the polish off. It would scrape it out of some of the wider parts of the stamp. But that did make it look different each time which is nice because stamps usually look identical.
