Shades Of Phoenix - Poseidon

Poseidon caught my eye as soon as I saw photos of it on the Shades of Phoenix facebook page. I was lucky to snag a bottle on launch day, and lucky I did because this one sold out quickly! 

Poseidon has a mix of turquoise hex glitter, blue square glitter and white bar glitter in a green jelly base. The white bar glitter gets lots in the green base so unless it's sitting on top it just looks green. 

I loved this from the first photos I saw of it and I loved it even more in real life. Currently Shades Of Phoenix polishes are only available within Australia. If you can get your hands on them seriously consider this one!

BK - Neon Luminous Glow Polish #6

This polish is a green creme by day and a luminous glowing green by night. The glow is quite strong after being exposed to light as you can see from the photo below. I actually forgot that this polish was glow in the dark until I went to bed and my boyfriend grabbed my hand to see what was going on with my nails. 

The formula was thin and sheer but it built up in three coats. It dried kind of matte and a little bit grainy looking, I think that is because of the glow powder. 

There are a few other coloured polishes that I might try out, I've only got green coloured glow polishes.

Gloss 'n Sparkle - Edge Of The World

Edge Of The World is stunning! It has a mix of different sized blue and green hex glitter and rainbow micro glitter in a green jelly base. The jelly base is quite sheer so I used four coats. The formula was nice and easy to control. the depth of this polish is amazing. If you are a green lover you need Edge Of The World!

Gloss 'n Sparkle - Goblins Grave

Goblins Grave has a mix of holo green hex, turquoise hex and black hex and charcoal hex in a green jelly base. I can't tell if all the  hex glitters are holo because every time I look at the bottle under a light all I see is holo! The black definitely isn't holo. My swatch doesn't show the holo very well, sorry about that, it really is very evident in person. 

Goblins grave has a green jelly base but it built up nicely after three coats. This polish is different to the original version produced, the original version did not include the charcoal glitter.

Pretty Serious - Blue Gums On Boxing Day

Blue Gums On Boxing Day is a green jelly polish with a blue shimmer. For my international readers who may be wondering if "Blue Gum" is some kind of mouth disease I'll explain it for you. A Blue Gum is a species of Eucalyptus Tree native to Australia. They are usually referred to as a gum tree. 

I grew up surrounded by gum trees so this polish is special to me. I wasn't sure if this would suit me but I think it looks ok. The formula was a little watery but it built up easily, I just had to be careful to keep it away from my cuticles so I didn't flood them.

Turquoise Treasure is a green creme with a subtle shimmer. You can see some of the shimmer near the tip of my middle finger. The base colour is similar to Ulta3 - Mermaid Green. This was opaque and only needed two coats.

Ulta3 - Tahitan Lime

Does this one look familiar? Tahitan Lime was originally released about 12 months ago as part of the Summer Siren Collection. I'm not a fan of recycling colours, I prefer new collections to be all new colours.

Tahitian Lime is an opaque lime green creme. The formula was a little thick which suggests it's the same formula they used for the Summer Siren Collection (which I think was the first PRC made collection). Both versions look a little different in my comparison photo. The original Tahitian Lime is just a touch lighter. Do you need both? Probably not.

China Glaze - Running In Circles

Running In Circles is STUNNING! I really love this polish and I highly recommend it to green lovers! The way the light hits the foil flakes gives the illusion that there might be gold flakes in there but I don't think there is. 

This was opaque after two coats but I used three for added depth.The foil particles liked to stick to my nails after removal so you might need to do some scrubbing to get them all off. 

I can see this being a perfect green for Christmas manis.

Pretty Serious - Phantom Planet

Phantom Planet is a green multichrome foil polish. It shifts from green to gold and blue. To see the colour shift in action have a look at this video from the Pretty Serious YouTube channel.
