Essie My Better Half & She's Picture Perfect

My Better Half is a pink shimmer. She's Picture Perfect is a lilac creme with a purple shimmer. Unfortunately I couldn't capture the purple shimmer in my pictures. Both shades had a great formula, I used three coats for each swatch.

CND VINYLUX Review

Beyond Polish sent me some CND VINYLUX polishes to try. I'd never tried CND before but I was very impressed. Both of these were opaque, I only needed two coats. I also received the CND VINYLUX Weekly Top Coat. The brush was really soft (it might be good for use over stamping without smudging) I used it for both swatches, it dries fast too.

Both of these shades lasted quite a while, I wore them for at least a week and only had mild tip wear no chips. My favourite was Purple Purple, can't beat that gorgeous purple and blue shimmer combination.

Creative Fantasy is a beautiful purple creme. I just looked at this in awe after a unwrapped it. I love it! Definitely my favourite from the collection. 

The formula was a little watery so be careful not to flood your cuticles. It dries dull so you'll need top coat.

Gloss 'n Sparkle - Fruit Tingle

Fruit Tingle has a mix of black, pink and blue hex glitter in a purple creme base. Of course I really like Fruit Tingle because it's purple but I also like the glitter combination. 

The black hex glitters have a textured surface, you can see it in the macro photo above. Maybe it has something to do with them being a matte glitter.

Pretty Serious - Emma Louise

Emma Louise is a limited edition polish created by Kaz's friend Emma and $5 from every bottle sold will be donated to Cancer Council NSW. There were only 300 bottles produced and each one is individually numbered. I got number 73. 

Emma Louise has a mix of green and purple hex glitter with small silver flecks in a purple jelly base. Those silver flecks like to stick to your cuticles after clean up so be careful when you apply this one.

Gloss 'n Sparkle - Witches Britches

Witches Britches has various sized orange, green and black hex glitter and small black square glitter in a purple crelly base. There is so much glitter in this bottle that it can be quite thick after three coats, you'll need a few coats of top coat to give it a glassy smooth finish.

Witches Britches is a limited edition polish for Halloween. There are still some bottles available on the Gloss 'n Sparkle Etsy store, the first lot of them sold out really fast!

Pretty Serious - Poltergeist Puddle

Poltergeist Puddle is a rich purple shimmer with flakes of blue and red (or maybe dark pink). This is gorgeous! As soon as I saw pictures of the Monster Mash collection I knew I had to have this. If you're a purple lover like me you will adore this!

Gloss 'n Sparkle - Purpetual Darkness

This one is very pretty, I can't stop looking at the macro photo, it's been distracting me from writing this post! Purpetual Darkness has large silver and purple hex glitter, smaller purple and holo hex glitter in a blackened purple base. The holo isn't very noticeable on my nails but you can just see it in the bottle in the photo above. 

The base is sheer so you'll need a few coats to reach opacity. I used thick coats and waited a few minutes between coats. If you're not patient you can always layer this over a dark purple or a black to get a similar look. Personally I like to build glitters like this up on their own because it creates a nice depth.

Gloss 'n Sparkle - Pyjamarama

I was going to post this last night but I fell asleep on the lounge watching a movie. Today I sat down to do blog stuff and got distracted cleaning my polish desk. Then I got in a big cleaning mood and re-arranged the whole spare room to fit in a new desk that I bought on the way home from Queensland because my closest store was 330km (205 miles) away. My boyfriend isn't happy that I'm taking up more space but oh well he still has half the room for his stuff. I'll include a picture of my new set up at the bottom of this post.

Gloss 'n Sparkle - Bruise

Bruise has black bar glitter, large blue hex glitter, medium purple hex glitter, small black hex glitter and small blue  hex glitter in a purple creme base. 

I found it a little hard to get the larger glitter on my nails when I wiped the brush on the bottle before applying. I tried wiping the brush very lightly and using a thicker coat to help get the bar and large blue hex glitters on my nails. 

It probably didn't need three coats but I used three to get more of the larger glitters on there.

Pretty Serious - Into Dreams

As soon as I saw the sneak peek of Into Dreams I knew I had to have it. How could I pass up such a gorgeous purple shimmer? I love purples that aren't to red or blue toned but right in the middle and this is perfect!

The shipping was ridiculously fast! I ordered these at 9am and they were waiting in my mail box when I got home from work the next day. I do live in the same state as Kaz so that probably helped, but I think it was mainly because Kaz had packed and posted my pretties only a few hours after I ordered them!
