The Face Behind The Blog

I know I subconsciously create a picture in my head of what other bloggers look like so just in case you are wondering this is me. I didn't want to take a photo of myself because I feel so awkward doing that, so I just cropped myself out of another photo.

About me:

My name is Alanna. I'm 21. I'm from Sydney, Australia. I'm short, 4' 11'' (150cm) so I look very young. My favourite colour is orange. Just kidding! It's purple, hence the name of my blog. I live at home with my mum, brother and boyfriend, but plan to move out in the next month or two and that's the main reason for my nail polish budget this year.

I'm addicted to nail polish, but I wish I had discovered it a long time ago! I missed out on so many good collections. I love being creative and doing art and craft type stuff so nail polish and nail art is a way for me to express that.

I love animals and if I could have one super power it would be the ability to talk to animals. I have a dog called Hazel. I'm not sure what she is but people have suggested part German shepherd, Kelpie, Ridge-back, Dingo, and Kangaroo. I also have 3 cockatiels and 2 long neck turtles. I like hot weather, Sydney is too cold for me 95% of the time. I can't wait to go back to Bali in May this year for two weeks of perfect weather!

I work in IT so I know some computery stuff which comes in handy now that today's society is so technological. It also means I'm on a computer all day long so I can check in to see what's going on in the nail community. In my lunch break of course...

I play soccer during the Winter. I've been playing for I think 12 years now. I also watch the English Premiere League games. My favourite teams are Everton and Chelsea. My favourite player is Tim Cahill.

I'm completely fascinated by the paranormal. I enjoy watching TAPS (The Atlantic Paranormal Society) and GHI (Ghost Hunters International). I went on a ghost tour at Quaratine Station in Manly. A few spooky things happened but my camera wasn't working properly so I didn't get many photos. It was interesting to hear about the history of the place.

I get bored very easily so I like to have some kind of project to do. Blogging has been keeping me busy for a while now. If you want to know anything else you can always ask: prettypurplepolish@gmail.com.
