3 coats
Sweet Violet is a silvery purple toned frost. This finish is similar to Ulta3 - Jelly Bean. The first coat was quite sheer but it builds up nicely. I probably could have gotten away with two coats but I did three trying to even out my brush strokes. If you are careful with the brush strokes they don't show up. How do you all feel about frosts? I don't mind this one, I hope I'm not slowly starting to like frosts eeek! I don't think I am, I think this and Jelly bean must be the exceptions.
Sorry girls, I just accidently deleted your comments so I'll have to add them back manually. Argh why do I keep doing that! :(
ReplyDeleteLovely shade! Frosts aren't my fave, but I will wear them!
ReplyDeleteYeah if they don't look too brush strokey they are all right. :)
DeleteDid I get you this one ? xx
ReplyDeleteYep :)
DeletePretty color! Brushstrokes bother me; it's a rare color that I'm happy to put up with them.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I'm still yet to try sponging on the last coat, I should do it soon. :)
DeleteHahaha, I'm sure they are on you ;) - I love frosts, especially those not too prone for brush strokes. If you sponge on the last coat - then the end result is pretty even after you top coat...
ReplyDeleteYeah I've heard about sponging on the last coat, I haven't tried it yet but I should really get around to it. :)
DeleteI hope that was all the comments I deleted, If I missed yours please comment again :)
ReplyDeleteIt's really sweet)) i think, some frosts are nice, it just depends on the color) i like grey, purple, blue ones...but yellow frosts are nightmare)
ReplyDeleteYeah that's true. I don't own any yellow frosts, just a few pinky, purpley and greeney ones. :)
DeleteI think if you're a bit cool-toned, frosts can work... but they make my hands look yellow :( I still use Sweet Violet as a base though! It's such a pretty colour.
ReplyDeleteYeah it's so pretty :)
DeleteSilvery purple?? Love it! I like frosts :) I have a few from Avon and I really like them!
ReplyDeleteGood to hear they are still loved! :)
