Elixir Lacquers - Kind Of Connery

Elixir Lacquers - Kind Of Connery
3 coats
Seche Vite Top Coat

Kind Of Connery is from Elixir Lacquers Preciate Collection - 2012. It is large silver, blue and white hex glitter, smaller silver hex glitters and small rectangular green glitter in a blue base.  When I was applying it I thought the blue hex glitters were gems, turns out some blue and silver hex glitters were stuck together. It would be cool to have gems in a nail polish though! This one was a little thick too but easier to work with. I used the felt to take it off, glitter is so much easier to take off with felt.

This is my favourite of the two that I purchased. Each Elixir Lacquers collection will be 7 nail polishes with an 8th secret shade that you can only receive if you purchase the entire collection. The 8th shade is also free! Check out Nail Polish Wars for swatches of the other shades.

You can get Elixir Lacquers nail polish from http://www.elixirlacquers.com/ for $10 each.

Elixir Lacquers - With A K

Elixir Lacquers - With A K
3 coats
Seche Vite Top Coat

With A K is from Elixir Lacquers Preciate Collection - 2012. It is silver holographic micro glitter and large holographic hex glitters in a pink jelly base. There might be more glitter in there but I can't make out any other individual colours. The formula was a little thick but still workable. I used two coats of Seche Vite to give it a glass smooth finish, I found that after one coat it still felt a little rough.

Elixir Lacquers was created by Nicole from Nail Polish WarsI was a little confused when I first saw this in real life because Nicole's swatch of this was more purple toned. It's still gorgeous, just not what I was expecting. Overall I'm very impressed with the first Elixir Lacquers collection and look forward to the next one.

You can get Elixir Lacquers nail polish from http://www.elixirlacquers.com/, each nail polish retails for $10USD each. Each Elixir Lacquers nail polish comes wrapped in felt and tied up with wool. It's a very nice touch. The felt is provided to help with the removal of glitter rather than using cotton balls or pads. I used the felt and pure acetone to remove this and it came off easily.
