Wet n Wild - Hypnotic Red

Don't forget to enter my Blogiversary Giveaway and Nail Art Competition! There's three Born Pretty Store gift vouchers to be won. Entries close 5th August 2012.
Wet n Wild - Hypnotic Red
3 coats

Hypnotic Red is a red jelly polish. There is still a bit of visible nail line after three coats. Not much else to say about this one so I've decided to do two posts today.

GMU Friday: Wet n Wild - Night Prowl

Wet n Wild - Night Prowl
2 coats

Night Prowl has pink glitter in a black jelly base. The formula was really nice, perfect in two coats. I'm not sure how old this polish is or what collection it was from because I bought it from a blog sale.

I had the day off today and was able to make a significant dent in my latest project; swatching all my polishes on swatch sticks. I had them all swatched on wheels but was never a fan of the system because I couldn't regroup the colours if I changed my mind on which group a colour should be in. I hope I can get them all done this weekend, I've got swatch sticks all over my desk drying.

Wet n Wild - Back Alley Deals

Wet n Wild - Back Alley Deals
3 coats
Seche Vite Top Coat

Back Alley Deals is from the Wet n Wild ColorIcon Ice Baby Glitter Collection - Holiday 2011. Back Alley Deals is a purple micro glitter with larger dark pink round glitter in a clear base. This dried very fast! I bumped my right hand when I was painting my left hand and expected to have ruined it but it was completely dry. Because it dries so fast it was starting to clump around the top of the bottle. I suggest not wiping your brush off each time.

This dries dull so you definitely need top coat, and more than one coat. I needed three coats of Back Alley Deals for full coverage and then three coats of Seche Vite. It still feels bumpy but I couldn't be bothered to use any more top coat.

The edges of my nails felt rough where some of the glitter was overhanging the edge. I lightly filed my nails to remove the roughness. This started chipping within 24 hours, which may be because I filed the edges. I think it would have lasted longer if I had just put up with the roughness.

This is gorgeous, I love this! I really wanted the whole collection when they first came out. However, with my 2012 nail polish budget, I had to settle for my favourite one.

I got this from eBay for $14.57 including postage.
