Essie My Better Half & She's Picture Perfect

My Better Half is a pink shimmer. She's Picture Perfect is a lilac creme with a purple shimmer. Unfortunately I couldn't capture the purple shimmer in my pictures. Both shades had a great formula, I used three coats for each swatch.

Surreal Appeal is a bubble gum pink creme. This had great coverage, it was opaque after only two coats. 

I'm having a hard time trying to familiarise myself with the name of this polish. When I was editing the photos and creating this post I was trying to remember the name without having to look at the bottle. I had to check the name each time. It's just not sinking in.

China Glaze - Escaping Reality

Escaping Reality is a bright neon pink creme. This was pretty opaque for a neon. I usually layer neons over white to help build them up but this one didn't need it. You could probably get away with two coats, I used three because I still had a tiny bit of visible nail line after two.

The formula was a little runny and it easily flooded my cuticles. It died dull as most neons do so you'll need top coat.

Color Club - Halo-Graphic

Halo-Graphic is a pink linear holographic polish. The first photo is under a regular light bulb to bring out the holographic effect. The second photo is in a light box showing the base colour. 

It looks matte in the light box but I am wearing top coat. The top coat does not seem to dull the holographic effect which is great.

Ozotic - 901 (Sugar)

Ozotic - 901 is one of the new Sugar polishes that Ozotic released recently. It's a multichrome foil polish. The multichrome comes to life when you wear it over black. I'm wearing it over Ulta3 - Black Satin in the photo above. 

The idea behind 'Sugar' is that these polishes look like icing sugar with a hint of food colouring. Ozotic -901 looks delicious!

The multichrome foil particles shift from purple to pink, orange and yellow. The colour that stands out the most is pink. You can wear this on its own for a subtle pink and orange colour shifting foil look or over white to create a shimmer with a pink flash. You can see examples of both looks below.

Gloss 'n Sparkle - Strawberry Jive

Strawberry Jive is a pretty pink polish, I don't normally go for pinks but I couldn't resist this one. It has red, gold and pink hex glitter and small gold glitter in a pink creme base.

Strawberry Jive was recently released with a few other new colours. I have most of them so I'll be swatching them over the next few days.

Pale Dahlia also has a subtle shimmer. The shimmer in this one is the most noticeable of the three. It was still hard to capture on camera though. You may see a tiny bit of it just above the glare line on the bottle.

This one was a little streaky on the first coat but evened out on the second.

Pink Peony is a nice bright pink, it was a little streaky but evened out after three coats. This one is the more of a summer colour compared to all the other Spring pastels in this collection. I would have liked them to include a pastel yellow in the collection instead of this though. I was actually  searching through the Ulta3 bin for a yellow when buying this collection. I had to check the photo of the collection again when I couldn't find one.

Don't get me wrong, I still really like this pink! I just think it would have been nice to have a spring collection of pastels including a yellow then a second collection for Summer of brighter colours including this pink.

Tease is a new Mesh shade. It's silver glitter in a pink jelly base. The formula was really nice. I don't normally choose pinks but I really liked how this looked on me. This is a little gritty so you'll need top coat. I used to foil method for removal.

piCture pOlish - Amethyst

3 coats

Amethyst is gorgeous, there's so much going on in this bottle! It has a purple jelly base, with blue shimmer and translucent flakes. It's like a purple version of Denim which I also love! The formula was a little thick but was easy to apply.

BYS - Deep Purple

BYS - Deep Purple

Deep Purple is a purple to pink colour change polish. On my short nails it's all pink but if you had long nails you would get a nice purple gradient at the tips. I've been meaning to try this polish for a long time but my nails just never grew to grow long enough. If I ever manage to grow long nails I'll try this polish again, along with all the Bundle Monster tip stamps that just look ridiculous on me.

Wet n Wild - Night Prowl

Night Prowl has pink glitter in a black jelly base. The formula was really nice, perfect in two coats. I'm not sure how old this polish is or what collection it was from because I bought it from a blog sale.

I had the day off today and was able to make a significant dent in my latest project; swatching all my polishes on swatch sticks. I had them all swatched on wheels but was never a fan of the system because I couldn't regroup the colours if I changed my mind on which group a colour should be in. I hope I can get them all done this weekend, I've got swatch sticks all over my desk drying.
