Pretty Serious Hit The Road Collection

This collection has been out for a while now. I bought both of the new Halloween collections earlier this week so I thought I should hurry up and post these! This collection is based on famous movie cars.

88mph is a grey steel packed with holo glitter. The formula was thick, opaque and it dries gritty, like the liquid sand finish. I used two coats in the swatch above. This is my favourite polish from collection! 88mph is a tribute to the Delorean from Back to the Future. I love the movies, I think I'll watch them again soon!

Generally Hazzardous is serious orange with gold shimmer. The formula was great! I used two coats in the swatch above. You've probably guessed that this was inspired by General Lee, the car from The Dukes of Hazzard.

Hell on Wheels is a red creme. I used three coats for the swatch above. The formula was a little thin and I flooded the cuticle of one of my nails, probably mostly due to my lack of practice with applying cremes. I've been wearing glitters for a long time now! Hell on Wheels is a tribute to Christine, the car with an evil mind of it's own in the movie Christine.

Party Time! Excellent! has a mix of red, blue and gold hex glitter in a sheer green base. The glitter is dense enough that you can wear this on it's own. This was three dabbled coats in the swatch above. This is a tribute to the Mirthmobile from the Wayne's World movies.

Something Strange has a mix of red and white hex glitter with blue micro glitter in a clear base. This is perfect for layering and I've layered one coat over Hell on Wheels. Something Strange is a tribute to the Ecto-1, the car used by the Ghostbusters.
I've got the Ghostbusters tune in my head now! I'm going to have to watch those movies too!

Turbo Boost is a black creme with red bar glitter. I had so much trouble trying to photograph this one! It kept looking matte in the photos even though I was wearing top coat and it was very glossy in real life! I took 67 photos and this was the best I had. Turbo boost is a tribute to KITT (Knight Industries Two Thousand) the car from the Knight Rider TV series.

Pretty Serious - Naughty Night Shift Nurse

Naughty Night Shift Nurse has a purple to red colour shifting base with a blue shimmer and green to orange to red colour shifting flakes. This is so pretty, I love it! 

The formula was great, it took three coats to reach opacity. The formula is actually half manufactured and half hand mixed as some ingredients needed to be added post production.

Naughty Night Shift Nurse was a special shade created for Kristy from The Polish Haven for her birthday. Pretty Serious released around 100 bottles of Naughty Night Shift Nurse as a limited edition polish at 9am this morning and they sold out within 10 minutes! But don't despair just yet! Pretty Serious - Cybernetic, My Darlin' Clementine, Grimm Demise & Purple Monkey Dishwasher

My Pretty Serious Hit The Rod collection has already arrived so I though it was about time that I posted these.

Cybernetic has a mix of purple and green micro glitter in a blue base. The formula was great! It build up easily in three coats. You might think this one is similar to Emma Louise but it's actually quite different, have a look at the comparison on the Pretty Serious Blog. I really love Cybernetic, it reminds me of a galaxy, gorgeous!

My Darlin' Clementine is a orange jelly with a gold glass fleck shimmer. This is so pretty! Orange is usually one of my least favourite colours but I really like this! It was a bit sheer on my nails so I used 4 coats. If you have short nails it won't be a problem.

Grimm Demise has teal glitter in a teal jelly base. This is so pretty! You can still see a little visible nail line on my nails after 3 coats but if you have short nails you wont have a problem.

This was nicknamed TSOD (Teal Screen Of Death) because it's pretty much a teal version of BSOD (Blue Screen Of Death which is awesome and everyone should own it!).

Last but definitely not least is Purple Monkey Dishwasher which has a mix of purple glitter in a purple jelly base. This is absolutely stunning! I couldn't stop admiring it all day, I left it on for a second day so I could continue to do so. The formula was great, I used three coats in the swatch above.

Pretty Serious - The Pink One & Martian Sea

The Pink One is a fluro pink with a blue shimmer. There might also be some purple in there but it could just be the blue and pink together playing tricks on me. The blue shimmer is really really pretty! I'm not a big pink polish fan BUT I did find myself checking out my nails quite a bit when I wore this. I love how bright it is! My camera did something funky to my skin tone attempting to capture how bright it is.

The formula was great and this was opaque after two coats but I like to use three coats just to be sure.

Martin Sea is a brown toned orange with a golden green shimmer. It's not something I'd usually go for but the shimmer really sold me on this one, plus I'm on a mission to BUY ALL THE PRETTY SERIOUS POLISH! 

I couldn't stop looking at this one on my nails either, it's very intriguing. The name really suits it too, if I ever went to Mars this is the kind of colour I'd expect it to be.

The formula was good. It is nice and opaque needing only two coats.

Pretty Serious - Twinkling Lights

I was hoping to get this posted before Christmas but I've just been so busy! I hope you all had a good Christmas Day. 

Twinkling Lights is a mix of blue micro glitter and copper hex glitter in a clear base. It wasn't designed to be worn opaque but I like it at three coats. 

Twinkling lights obviously represents Christmas Lights that decorate houses and trees during December. I found a great street this year, each house had a light display. Christmas lights are one of my favourite things about Christmas!

Pretty Serious - Party By The Pool

Party By The Pool is a sheer blue jelly polish with blue and green micro glitter. You can still see a bit of visible nail line after three coats in the photo above. If the visible nail line bothers you then you might have to use four coats or layer it over something. Party By The Pool was purposely created sheer to let the blue and green shimmer show through, also it looks more realistic, like a shimmery pool. 

The blue and green micro glitter makes this polish really pretty. I'd love to be able to dive into this pool on a hot Summer day!
