Silk is a frosty purple shimmer. My bottle is really old. This was one of my original polishes from about 10 years ago. I think it was my mums and I claimed it as my own. It was my first favourite polish, I loved to use it for pedicures. It looks a little duochrome in the picture above but it's not really, it looks more like the bottle colour in person. My camera was just having a really hard time trying to focus on it.
My bottle was very dried up, you can see how it looked in the picture below before I added a heap of Seche Restore to it. I think this colour is still available today, it's listed on the Coral Colors website but it looks a lot darker. I want to buy a new bottle to see how it compares.

Pre Seche Restore
That's such a sweet purple polish :) You did well to resurrect it!
ReplyDeleteThanks :)
DeleteSo cool!! I love seeing vintage polishes =) Seche Restore is fantastic, I once revived a completey dried up bottle of Urban Decay polish with it.
ReplyDeleteThis is the first polish I've had to bring back to life, Seche Restore really is fantastic. :)
DeleteI've never seen Coral Colours before but I think it's so sweet that your mum passed it on to you(:
ReplyDeleteI've seen them in a few chemists. :)
DeleteI love this colour - shouldn't surprise you that I was in my prime way back in the '80's and '90's. I used to wear polishes like this all the time, haha!
ReplyDeleteI've seen a lot of frost polishes from the 80s and 90s. I grew up in the 90s but didn't buy many polishes.
DeleteI don't think I've seen Coral colours before, well done on the resuscitation!
ReplyDeleteThanks, they are in random Chemists but I don't see them very often.
DeleteI own some seche restore but havn't used it yet. But i was talking to a women who does nails & she said restore breaks down the color of nail polish? or maybe yours is lighter because it is just old
ReplyDeleteI've never heard that before but that could be why it's lighter! Thanks for letting me know. :)
