Colours used:
Sally Hansen Insta-Dri - Brisk Blue
Sally Hansen Insta-Dri - Flashy Fuchsia
Sally Hansen Insta-Dri - Mint Sprint
I started with a base of Brisk Blue on all my nails. I didn't have enough time to do a fishtail on all my nails so I just made it an accent nail. The fishtail pattern is basically a pattern of diagonal stripes using three colours. There's a good photo tutorial on Lucy's Stash. I didn't use the Insta-dri brushes to do the stripes because they are very wide. I just used a nail art brush dipped in each colour.

I like your fishtail, lovely colors, maybe the green and blue are a little close, but still it gives a subtle look!
ReplyDeleteYeah the green and blue are too close I think. I'd like to try fishtail again when I have more time. :)
DeleteLooks awesome Alanna. Love the colours you used!
ReplyDeleteThanks :)
DeleteOoh cool colours! I love the Brisk Blue :D
ReplyDeleteThanks :)
DeleteWOW! Brisk Blue us GORGEOUS! I will be adding her to My stash ASAP :)
ReplyDeleteIt's nice and opaque too! :)
DeleteSo pretty, I'm loving the fishtail - I need to make time to try it out. I don't think I'd want to do a full mani with all fishtails, it would be a bit full on - an accent or two is perfect!
ReplyDeleteI underestimated how long this would take. I didn't have time to wait for the bottom layers to dry properly.
DeleteFun. And good tip on the separate brushes. I have tried and just ended up with messes with regular polish brushes
ReplyDeleteYeah some polish brushes are just too wide for this.
DeleteI really like the colours you used - glad someone else decided just to do an accent nail too :)
ReplyDeleteThanks :)
