Artsy Wednesday: Inspired By Independence Day

The theme for Artsy Wednesday this week is Inspired By Independence Day!

Happy Independence day to those of you who celebrate it! Some of the Artsy Wednesday members are from the US so we all decided to do an Independence Day theme this week.

Colours used:
China Glaze - Poinsettia
piCture pOlish - Bombshell
Konad Special Polish - White

Stamping plate used:
Bundle Monster BM-301

I started with a base of Poinsettia and when that was dry then taped off half of my nail diagonally and painted Bombshell over the top. I removed the tape while Bombshell was still wet then used a coat of Seche Vite to help it dry. I stamped the stripe design on BM-301 with Konad Special Polish White. I used another coat of Seche Vite to finish it off.

I did have problems with this design. I was originally using Ulta3 - Lily White but each time I tried to pick the stamp up I would only get part of the design. When I switched to the Konad polish I was still having the same problem but eventually I got a good stamp. It's still a bit patchy though. Anyone else tried this stamp?

See what the other Artsy Wednesday girls did this week:

    1. Thanks :) I like that there's not as many tip stamps in this collection, my nails are never long enough to use them.

  4. This is really pretty and stamping can be annoying sometimes when the polish doesn't get picked up!

    1. I've tried the other stamps on this plate and I think I got a dodgy one. They were all difficult to stamp.
