Alanna Renee Magical World Collection

The Magical World collection was inspired by the Harry Potter books and movies.

Hedwig is inspired by Harry Potter's pet Snowy Owl. Harry named her Hedwig after finding the name in one of his school books - A History Of Magic.
Hedwig has a mix of white, brown, black and yellow glitter in a white creme base. I used three coats in the swatch above.

Patronus is inspired by the form produced by the Patronus Charm. A Patronus is a positive energy force which takes the shape of the animal with whom you share the deepest affinity. A Patronus can be used for defence against Dementors.
Patronus has a mix of white and blue flakies in a shimmery white base. I used three coats in the swatch above.

Draught of Peace is inspired by one of the potions Harry Potter had to brew in Potions class. Professor Snape, the Potions Master, gave Harry a zero for forgetting to add syrup of hellebore because he misread the instructions. When brewed correctly, Draught of Peace relieves anxiety and agitation.
Draught of Peace is a shimmery turquoise creme with silver glitter. I used three coats in the swatch above.

Chocolate Frog is inspired by the colours on the packaging of Chocolate Frogs. Chocolate Frogs are a popular confection and are made from 70% croakoa. Chocolate frogs are packaged with a collectible famous witch or wizard card. When opened the chocolate frog will hop around.
Chocolate Frog has a mix of gold and brown glitter in a blue jelly base. I used 3 coats in the swatch above.

Avada Kedavra is inspired by one of the three Unforgivable Curses with the incantation "Avada Kedavra". Avada Kedavra causes instantaneous death. There are only two wizards known to have survived this curse: Harry Potter who was protected by his mother's love and Voldemort who was protected by a horcrux.
Avada Kedavra has a mix of different sized white glitter in a bright green jelly base. I used 3-4 coats in the swatch above.

Drink of Despair is inspired by the potion Dumbledore drank when attempting to retrieve one of Voldemort's horcruxes. Drink of Despair is a mysterious potion which induces fear, delirium and extreme thirst.
Drink of Despair has a mix of emerald green glitter in a green jelly base. I used three coats in the swatch above.

Horcrux is inspired by the fragment of soul that a dark wizard or witch hides inside a powerful object for the purpose of immortality. A Horcrux gives one the ability to resurrect oneself if the body is destroyed.
Horcrux has a mix of green colour shifting flakes and professional grade sterling silver flakes in a black base.

Dementor is inspired by one of the foulest dark creatures to inhabit the world. Dementors feed off human happiness, causing depression and despair to those that are near them. Dementors can also consume a person's soul, this is known as the Dementor's Kiss. Any person who is victim to the Dementor's Kiss is left in a permanent vegetative state.
Dementor has a mix of silver and grey glitter in a black base. I used three coats in the swatch above.

Fawkes is inspired by Dumbledore's phoenix named Fawkes. Fawkes has crimson feathers and a long golden tail. Fawks' tail feathers were used in the cores of two twin wands owned by Harry Potter and Voldemort.
Fawkes has a mix of red and gold holo glitter in a red base. I used three coats in the swatch above.

Stupefy is inspired by the stunning spell with the incantation "stupefy". Stupefy renders the victim unconscious.
Stupefy has a mix of different sized white glitter in a red base. I used three coats in the swatch above.

Butterbeer is a popular wizarding beverage that is served cold in bottles or hot in foaming tankards. Butterbeer tastes a bit like less-sickly butterscotch.
Butterbeer has a mix of different sized white glitter in an orange base. I used three coats in the swatch above.

Golden Snitch is inspired by the small walnut sized gold ball with silver wings used in Quidditch. It flies around the Quidditch field at fast speeds and is nearly impossible to see. The seeker's job is to catch the snitch before the other team's seeker winning their team 150 points and ending the game.
Golden snitch has a mix gold glitter and silver micro glitter in a clear base. This polish can be worn on its own or layered over other colours. I used three coats in the swatch above.

The Magical World collection will be available from 10AM AESDT 1st April 2013.
