Born Pretty Store Hex Glitters

I think this kind of looks like rainbow fish scales. I used twelve different colours for this look. The base is Ulta3 - Black Satin. I painted a coat of slow drying top coat on my ring finger then placed the hex glitters a toothpick. I used a coat of Seche Vite over the top. I need to work on the placement, my honeycomb pattern is a little uneven.

Born Pretty Store has a pack of twelve different coloured hex glitters for $6.45 which you can find here. You can use my discount code for 10% off. Each container has a decent amount of hex glitters and it should last me a while.

The hex glitters were provided for review.

  1. Love this look with all the different colors of glitter over black, it makes them look like little lights :)

    1. It actually didn't take as long as I thought it would. It might have been about 10 minutes for this mani. I think it will be quicker next time now that I've got the hang of it.

  3. :O

So lovely. They do look like rainbow fish scales. I don't mind your placement of the glitters at all. We see all of the imperfections because we can see our own hands all of the time up close. :)

    1. Very true! I can see all the imperfections on my nails but everyone else's look fine. :)

  4. That is really pretty. It's so tricky getting them lined up, but you did a great job. Those glitters look a good size, a bit smaller than the ones that I have used.

    1. Thanks :) I'm not sure what size they are, there's nothing written on them.
