Gloss 'n Sparkle - Pyjamarama

I was going to post this last night but I fell asleep on the lounge watching a movie. Today I sat down to do blog stuff and got distracted cleaning my polish desk. Then I got in a big cleaning mood and re-arranged the whole spare room to fit in a new desk that I bought on the way home from Queensland because my closest store was 330km (205 miles) away. My boyfriend isn't happy that I'm taking up more space but oh well he still has half the room for his stuff. I'll include a picture of my new set up at the bottom of this post.

Anyway, this lovely polish is a mix of large blue and purple hex glitter and small purple and copper hex glitter in a  light purple creme base. Angela knows I'm a purple lover so she sent me two purples for review. I'll have the other one up this week.

Peita's Polish - Zebration

I'd been after a polish like this for a while and was glad to come across Zebration. Zebration is a mix of large and medium black and white hex glitter and black and white bar glitter.  I'm wearing Zebration over Ulta3 - Orchid.

I love this combination and I've been wearing it all week while on holiday in Queensland. We got home today but we got stuck near Taree with a flat tyre late last night while looking for a camp site. Good thing the people there are so nice. Dollish Polish - The Koopa King

This swatch is two coats of The Koopa King over Ulta3 - Frog Prince. There is a mix of different glitter in this one. I can see large, medium and small yellow hexes, large and medium white hexes, black large glitter, medium green hexes, medium red squares, and large silver diamonds. I started with a base of Dress Me Up then stamped the lacy looking design on BM20 diagonally with Lily White.

I thought I had more lacy stamps but this was the best I could find. Dollish Polish - It's A Me, Mario!

Sorry I haven't posted the last few days, I had a busy weekend celebrating my best friends birthday and then yesterday my boyfriend, our dog and myself went on a long road trip up to Queensland. Took us about 14 hours! We got lost a few times (stupid GPS), but we got there in the end.

Anyway today's post is It's A Me, Mario! I swatched it over Sally Hansen Insta-Dri - Silver Sweep. It's A Me, Mario  has large and small red and blue hex glitters with silver stars. I had to go fishing to get the stars out though.

BK Fashion Nail Polish - #4

I don't think this polish has a name. If it does I couldn't find it, most of the markings on the bottle are in Chinese (I think). There was a sticker on the bottom that had Chinese writing and the number 4 so I'm going with that number for the name. 

This polish has fine silver glitter in a navy base. I think this polish looks like denim. It was nice and opaque so I only needed two coats.

Gloss 'n Sparkle - Unicorn Doppings

It was love at first sight with this polish, but how could you not love this? It's called unicorn droppings and it's got little rainbow hex glitters. Great name for this polish! 

There was still a tiny bit of visible nail line after three coats but not enough to make me do another one. The formula was a bit thick but it workable. 

The glitter on my pinky is a bit sparse compared to the others but I didn't notice that until I was editing the photos. I'll have to pay more attention next time!

Artsy Wednesday: Neon

I started with a base of Lily white so that the neon colours would be more vibrant. I did rough diagonal stripes with Wicked Sweet, The Lime Starts Here and Raspberry Rush. I had to go over the diagonal lines a second time so they weren't too sheer. 

I used a coat of Seche Vite to speed up the dry time then applied striping tape vertically on each nail (see picture below). I used a coat of Black Satin over the top and carefully removed the tape while the polish was still wet.

Gloss 'n Sparkle - Bruise

Bruise has black bar glitter, large blue hex glitter, medium purple hex glitter, small black hex glitter and small blue  hex glitter in a purple creme base. 

I found it a little hard to get the larger glitter on my nails when I wiped the brush on the bottle before applying. I tried wiping the brush very lightly and using a thicker coat to help get the bar and large blue hex glitters on my nails. 

It probably didn't need three coats but I used three to get more of the larger glitters on there.

My legs are very sore today! I feel like a robot trying to walk around. I always take the stairs when I leave work and I forgot and did that today, ouch! I spent most of the night in a hot bath trying to soothe my legs and I ran out of time to edit swatch photos so I've got another old photo to show you. I'll have a pretty swatch up tomorrow I promise!

Born Pretty Store Hex Glitters

I think this kind of looks like rainbow fish scales. I used twelve different colours for this look. The base is Ulta3 - Black Satin. I painted a coat of slow drying top coat on my ring finger then placed the hex glitters a toothpick. I used a coat of Seche Vite over the top. I need to work on the placement, my honeycomb pattern is a little uneven.
